Documentation
MaxQ provides component-based aerodynamic analysis for model and high-power rockets. This documentation explains the physics and equations behind our calculations.
Drag Calculation
Component-based drag coefficient prediction from subsonic to hypersonic regimes.
Fin Flutter Analysis
NACA TN-4197 flutter velocity prediction with Classical 2-D and Barrowman 3-D methods.
Overview
MaxQ is inspired by the AeroRocket suite of tools (AeroDRAG and FinSim) and aims to provide a modern, web-based replacement with transparent methodology and open calculations.
MACH RANGE
0.1 - 5.0
Subsonic to Hypersonic
DRAG COMPONENTS
5
Friction, Pressure, Base, Wave, Fin
FLUTTER METHODS

Material Database
Our material database includes mechanical properties for common fin materials. Shear modulus (G) is critical for flutter analysis.
